Month and year you joined Enshored

Position you joined as and client you worked for
Team Captain
Why did you decide to join Enshored?
I used to work for big BPO companies and stayed there for years; however, I realized that I wanted a different environment—an environment where I would be challenged daily, and there’s a lot of opportunity for career growth. When I found Enshored, I was excited. Enshored was still very small then when I joined in 2017. When I found out during my application interview that I might be handling multiple accounts and might need to wear many hats, I knew this was it. I was so happy when I got a call that I got the post! I still feel delighted and lucky to have been given that chance to be a part of this one-of-a-kind company.
What challenges, if any, did you face in making your progression?
I enjoyed every bit of my life as a Team Captain. I was not being micromanaged, I was in charge of decision-making, and I was very hands-on in everything. I got all the opportunities that I hoped for when I applied. However, I was not taking care of myself, I wasn’t eating right I and took a lot of absences. My manager talked to me about it and eventually moved me after I didn’t change. I was horrified and took it hard.
But after contemplating and thinking things through, I realized that I was too complacent and confident. So I told myself – I’ll prove to everyone, most especially myself, that I can improve, that I’ll be better, and it has to start with me taking care of myself. I was fortunate to have been given that second chance.
I challenged myself to be present and healthy constantly. And I am proud to say that from that day on it has all got better. I greatly appreciate the trust of the company and my Operations Manager who supported me and guided me along the way. And since then, I have pushed myself further to try and be better each day. If I had given up then if I had resigned, my career would not have progressed and I wouldn’t have been where I am today.
How has Enshored empowered you to progress?
Enshored has been very supportive of me. The company kept on entrusting me with accounts where I will be constantly challenged, like Enshored Grow, a complicated account handling several programs. Never did I feel even a slight doubt from them. Their belief and trust in me empowered me to believe that I can. Everyone was always very helpful, and they treated me with the same respect as before, and for that, I am grateful.
What’s next? What are your ambitions? What do you want to achieve?
As a newly promoted Acting Jr. Operations Manager, I want to be familiar with the role, learn the ropes, and be effective at it. I want to learn the best practices of our other OMs, be good at critical thinking, be confident in making big decisions, and contribute more to the company’s success as a whole. I want all of my accounts to grow. I want them to grow so big that I’ll be a senior OM in the future. I want heroes from my team to get promoted too as future team leads, team captains, operations managers, or even leaders for our other departments. Overall, I want to continuously grow with Enshored and be the last company I’ll work for until the day I decide to retire.
