Your Rights

If you are a resident of Canada, you hold specific privacy rights under federal and provincial privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), British Columbia’s PIPA, and Quebec’s Private Sector Act (Law 25).

Subject to applicable legal exceptions, your rights include:

1. Right to Access: You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and ask to receive access to the specific pieces or categories of personal data we have collected, used, or shared. Upon a verified request, we will also provide details regarding the sources of collection, processing purposes, and categories of third-party recipients.
2. Right to Rectification (Correction): You have the right to request the correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal information under our control.
3. Right to Withdraw Consent / Opt-Out: You may opt out of marketing communications or withdraw your consent to data processing at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. (Please note: If you ask us to delete or cease processing data necessary to perform our contract, we may no longer be able to provide certain Services to you.)
4. Right to Erasure (Deletion): You may request the deletion of your personal information when it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected or to satisfy statutory retention requirements.
5. Provincial Rights (e.g., Quebec Residents): Depending on your provincial jurisdiction, you may hold enhanced privacy rights, including:
   • Data Portability: The right to receive a copy of your computerized personal information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
   • Control Over Dissemination (De-indexation): The right to request that we cease disseminating or de-index links associated with your personal data under specified statutory conditions.
   • Automated Decision-Making Transparency: The right to be informed if a decision about you is made based solely on automated processing, and to submit observations or request human intervention regarding that decision.
